Operating Ranges
  • A variety of models, with factory-set actuation points from 0.05" to 40.0" H2O (171D)

Construction
  • 0.008" Buna (Nitrile) coated nylon diaphragm for temps of -30° F to 160° F. Silicone coated cloth can be used for greater temperature extremes
  • Sturdy zinc die cast, steel, and aluminum stampings
  • For military use, aluminum parts can be anodized in accordance with Military Specification MIL-A-8625, Class 2, Type I. Snap switch bodies are of a non-nutrient plastic material.

Ultra Low Differential Pressure Switches for Harsh Environments

The Dietz Model 170D Ultra Low Differential Pressure Switch combines extremely low pressure actuation, maximum electrical ratings and rugged construction to withstand unusually harsh environments. The 171D is shock and vibration resistant, due to a minimum number of moving parts and the absence of lever amplifiers, and will actuate at 1" H2O under extreme shock and vibration conditions. Overpressure of 25 lbs. per square inch will not damage the switch or change calibration settings. Diaphragm movement is limited to provide extremely long diaphragm life.

This rugged but simple design makes the Dietz 170D ideal for use on locomotives, ships, construction equipment, and variety of outdoor applications. A highly resistant epoxy finish is available for use where corrosive fumes or acids are present, such as in chemical plants, plating rooms, and sewage plants.
