This switch was originally designed to be used in equipment where there was a great amount of very high frequency voltage present. It also found use in many parts of the country where brass and bronze was attacked by the water supply. It's plastic PVC construction makes it very suitable for these applications.

The rate of flow can be varied by the customer from 0.05 to 10.0 gallons per minute by increasing the orifice diameter in a removable orifice plug. This feature makes it possible to stock the flow switches with undrilled plugs; then, when needed, each plug is drilled to a predetermined orifice diameter for the desired flow rate. When the switch is installed the flow range can not be changed. Switches can be factory set, or customer can determine the correct hole size from a supplied chart.
