Useful free Software and Engineering Aids for Dietz Products

Forced Air Cooling Primer (software)

This software is for engineers who must design a forced air cooling system. This software has two main sections. The first consists of a series of utilities which are useful in designing forced air cooling systems. The second is a revolutionary learning tool called Air Flow Lab. It teaches basic air flow concepts by allowing the user to perform simulated lab experiments.

"The Forced Air Cooling Primer for Windows" and "Air Flow Lab" are copyrighted 1992, by the Henry G. Dietz Co., Inc. All rights reserved.

Booklet "Forced Air Cooling Primer"

This booklet "Forced Air Cooling Primer" was originally published in 1962. The software above is a supplement to this booklet. It is written by the founder of The Henry G. Dietz Co., Inc. who made his first air flow switch in 1945 for use in a 50 kilowatt FM transmitter being built, using the technology of Edwin Armstrong the inventor of frequency modulation.

The book was very popular and there were many editions published, the copy here was from the fourth edition published in 1968. 22 pages

Booklet "Design Guidelines" for use of differential pressure/vacuum monitoring devices in clean rooms and ventilated areas

This booklet is for ventilation engineers and facility managers responsible for the "Design" of cleanrooms and ventilated areas. It provides a basic design outline and check list of factors that should be considered to achieve proper operational monitoring of cleanrooms and ventilated areas.

This 30 page book will aid engineers and managers in determining how to use simple differential pressure switches for detecting airflow, dirty air filters and pressure/vacuum of enclosed areas. It also gives details on easy-to-install, low-cost devices that require no electrical connections to indicate dirty air filters, or give audio alarms when pressure/vacuum loss is detected. However, the primary purpose of this book is to provide information on more sophisticated pressurization monitors for clean rooms in bio pharmaceutical and electronic facilities to assure proper installation.
